Halloween 2008

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect Halloween night. I can't remember ever having one this warm before. Noah was Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Aurora was a hippie. After Aurora spilled chocolate milk on her pants, I told her to hurry and get them in the wash so she could wear them trick-or-treating. She told me not to worry about it because "hippies are kind of dirty anyway". Made my job easy!

Aurora's Birthday

Aurora just celebrated her 8th birthday. We had a pirate party and went to see Madagascar 2. Her favorite presents were her Nintendo DS and Icebat the Ugly Doll. (If you don't know what Ugly Dolls are, google it-they are hilarious.) I think everyone had a good time...I survived:)

First Day of School 2008 (Aurora 2nd Grade & Noah 6th Grade)

As anyone can tell, I am not really good at this and I can't promise I will be any time soon. I enjoy getting to see everyone else's photos, especially my cousins and family out of state so I will try to be a little better at posting so you can see us too. We have had a fabulous year..we have enjoyed our family and Jeff's new job and the free time it gives us. We have been truly blessed and I enjoy every day with my precious kids. They are just old enough to be easy and just young enough that they still need me around. I just got back from parent teacher conference and I couldn't have been prouder. Noah and Aurora have always done well academically, but there is nothing that makes me happier than to know that my kids are campassionate, respectful and helpful. I am a lucky mom!!

March 2008

Right now I am sitting in a hotel room in Twin Falls (hence the time to figure out this blog thing) while Jeff's working. The kids and I tagged along so we could sneak in a little family time over Spring Break. We are going to head up to Sun Valley in a little while and spend the rest of the day there. I don't know that I've ever been to Twin Falls before, it sure is beautiful in the Snake River Gorge here. We're also going to drive to Shoshone Falls on the way out. It reminds me of all the road trips we took as kids and dad made us drive to all the landmarks and we never did appreciate it the way dad did, but now I do. I sure love you guys and I've been thinking that we were really good kids on trips, even just having two is kind of hard some times, I cannot imagine how mom and dad did it with 7. Those trips are my favorite memories and I'm so thankful that mom and dad made the sacrifices they did to take us.
